On February 5th, between 9hrs and 17hrs, a workshop session dedicated to the consultation and validation of the curriculum and IEC toolkit for the IMPACT-GB project took place at the Coimbra hotel, in Bissau.
The event was attended by several partner institutions: AMI: Represented by Dautarin da Costa, Coordinator of the IMPACT-GB project; IMC: Represented by technicians Saliu Seidi and Andreia Fernandes and AGLUCOMI-TSH: Represented by president Suleimane Embaló.
In addition, government institutions such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities, the Ministry of Public Health and the Judiciary Police were also present at the workshop.
Humberto Bampoque, Project Manager and representative of the Executive Director of ADPP GUINEA-BISSAU, underlined the importance of creating a support network for the protection of talibé children. He emphasized that raising awareness among the population is essential to achieve all the outlined objectives.
Consultant Emanuel Pinto Lopes conducted a detailed presentation of the manual, promoting a space for debate and exchange of ideas among the participants. This moment was essential for the sharing of knowledge and validation of the materials developed.
The IMPACT-GB Project is an initiative of the AMI Foundation, with funding from the European Union, and implemented by the AMI, ADPP GUINEA-BISSAU, IMC and AGLUCOMI-TSH consortia, with the aim of offering an effective protection response to talibé children. These children are often subjected to conditions of violence and exploitation, including human trafficking.
